Reflect: Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time - In the readings for next Sunday Amos and the Apostles are sent out to journey, trusting only in God’s grace. The Apostles were not to rely on their own resources but on the power that had been given to them by God and the kindness of those who they met on their way. . Jesus also calls us to share in his mission and sends us out to serve others. When we surrender to God’s purpose for our lives he carries us with His infinite goodness. And so with Mary we can say in faith ‘Let it be done to me according to your word'.

Cemetery Sunday: As already included in previous editions, this Sunday is Cemetery Sunday in Donegan with Mass being celebrated at 3pm. Due to Westmeath’s Senior Football Team being involved in the Leinster Final on Sunday July 12th, Cemetery Day is being brought forward in Castledaly to Saturday July 11thwith Mass being celebrated at 6pm. Hopefully the change will not cause great inconvenience but will be appreciated by all who wish to see Westmeath in action. Remember too that there will be no 9.30am Mass in St Ciaran’s Church on Sunday July 12th.
Distribution of the Newsletter: Sincere thanks to the people who have taken responsibility for the distribution of the newsletter at the 6.30pm and the 10am Masses in St Patrick’s Church and the 9.30am Mass in Castledaly. We still need volunteers to do likewise at the 11.30am Mass in St Patrick’s.
